Machut's Supper Club was founded in November of 1961 by Norman and Lorraine Machut and is now owned and operated by Wayne, Scott, Jean and Paulett. The business was originally called Babe and Norm's Bar. Later it was called Machut's and eventually it became Machut's Supper Club. By the way, the 'ch' in Machut's is pronounced like a hard 'K'.
The first items on our menu were hamburgers and Mexican style Chili and were served at the bar (because there was no dining room). Family style roast chicken was added and we began serving in what is now our downstairs party room.
We began serving Broasted foods (chicken, pork chops, and perch) in 1964. Our present main dining room and kitchen were completed in 1968. The main building, which once housed our former living quarters and barroom, was completely remodeled and enlarged in 1980 into our present spacious barrom, which now seats 75 persons. Our banquet room, which seats up to 90 persons, was completed one year later.
In the fall of 1988 our downstairs party room was renovated and is available to groups having their dinner banquets with us.
